Silver plaque with an image of a rider

Discoid silver plaque with pressed and wrought decor showing a rider holding the bridle in one hand, a falcon is sitting on his other arm; sometimes he is called „falconer“. However, the picture shows a man of high social status, probably the ruler, during the typical entertainment of the powerful, the hunt with the help of a bird of prey. It is a unique figurative motive, often used as a symbol of Great Moravia. The plaque was part of a stick decoration and was found together with other silver adornments in the narthex of the church.
