The Plan of Uherské Hradiště-Sady

Sacral buildings from the 9th century in Moravia are not preserved. Models elaborated on the basis of expert evaluations of archaeological finds and consultations with specialist in many fields show what they may have been like. The largest model in the exhibition is the model of the sacral centre unearthed in Uherské Hradiště-Sady that originally consisted of a church with annexes, a baptistery, a burial ground, a settlement and a long hall-like house. This area that was part of the agglomeration of Staré Město-Uherské Hradiště – Veligrad is frequently considered a place where archbishop Methodius lived and worked.
