From Moravia to time immemorial and back
The exhibition shows photographs from a vast territory that was provably connected with the mission of the apostles Cyril and Methodius and their disciples in the 9th and 10th centuries. Artistic snaps show preserved church monuments on the territory of the then Great Moravia, Bulgaria, Macedonia, Romania and Serbia connected with the work and spiritual bequest of the apostles Cyril and Methodius and their disciples. The author of the photographs – Mgr. Petr Francán – has been working on this project since several years. The comprehensive photographic presentation of architectural monuments and extensive texts draw attention to the deeper semantic context of the given historical period.
